Fifteen years turning genomic and protein data into tools clinicians and researchers rely on — across cancer diagnostics, variant interpretation, and machine learning for drug discovery — is what motivated AlgoGenomics. Earlier, Eugene developed MutationAssessor — a widely used, evolution-based method for scoring the functional impact of cancer mutations. First released in the context of The Cancer Genome Atlas, it is now integrated into cBioPortal, where it serves impact scores for ~4 million somatic mutations across 320,000+ tumor samples.
